We are currently recruiting Assistant Coaches to join our team.We are seeking experienced coaches, with a minimum qualification of Development (Bronze Level) Coach, we welcome applications from people who love working with swimmers in a fun, team-based environment and who are ready to seek new knowledge and grow within our Squad program.
Regular Shift Schedule:
Monday: 5pm - 7.45pm
Tuesday: 5pm - 7.45pm
Wednesday: 5pm - 7.45pm
Thursday: 6am-9.30am and 5pm - 7.45pm
Saturday: 6.45am-8.45am
* additional hours will be required when competitions are on.
Skills & Attributes
* Energetic, innovative and decisive coaching style
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Empathetic to the needs of participants
* An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within the facility
* Availability to commit to an agreed schedule of shifts
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
* Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct squad programs which meet the individual needs of participants
* Assess swimmers capabilities
* Communicate with the Head Coach about swimmer’s progression
* Make a lasting impact - become a role model and an inspiration!
Key Requirements
ESSENTIAL
* Development Coach/Bronze Coach qualifications
* Working with Children Check
* Current CPR and First Aid
DESIRABLE
* Any other SWIM Australia teaching qualification or equivalent
* Availability to work at least one shift on the weekend and attend competitions
