Peak industry body for swimming Coaches, Teachers and Swim Schools in Australia, SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia (SWIM) are calling for an Expression of Interest (EOI) for four new advisory committees, which will be replacing the current SWIM Australia Advisory Committee (SAAC).

SWIM are in the process of disestablishing SAAC as a response to the ever changing needs of the aquatic industry. The new advisory committees will be targeted at specific industry groups and needs: Coaches, Education, Swim Schools, and Levelling the Deck industry experts.

“The SAAC has been running since 2016, and has been instrumental to help shape the aquatic industry and landscape with their expertise and knowledge,” said Brendon Ward CEO SWIM Coaches & Teachers Australia. “Our board has agreed to establish the new committees so we can receive greater input, knowledge and experience across the four industry groups. This is in direct response to feedback from our members and industry leaders.

“Each group will be chaired by a Board member and supported by a member of our SWIM management team.”

The groups consist of:

Coaches:
Board Member: David Lush
SWIM Manager: Gary Toner
Education:
Board Member: Debby Tattoli
SWIM Manager: Rhiannon Kocmar
Swim Schools:
Board Member: Brendon Keogh
SWIM Manager: Tracey Schultz
Levelling the Deck:
Board Member: Danielle Taylor
SWIM Manager: Victoria Clark

Industry professionals are encouraged to send in their EOI for one of the four committees. EOIs should include a cover letter noting your committee of preference and why you would like to be involved together with a CV. Please note, you are welcome to apply for all committees, however, successful applicants will only be selected for one committee.

Mr Ward added, “On behalf of the industry and board, I extend my sincere gratitude and thanks to all past and present members of SAAC.”
