Women & Leadership Australia (WLA) – To encourage more women to increase their impact at work and step into leadership roles across the Sport & Recreation Sector, WLA is offering scholarships of $1000-$5,000 are available for four leadership development courses for SCTA staff and members. The scholarships are open to women across all areas of the Sport & Recreation Sector. Apply by 9 September 2022.

Higher Level Skills (QLD) This program provides eligible individuals with access to a subsidised training places in selected certificate IV level or above qualifications, and priority skill sets. The aim is to assist individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement in priority industries, to transition to university to continue their studies. There are specific pre-approved courses that can be applied for. Applications open through approved Registered Training Organisations.

Skills & training Incentive (national)  – This initiative assists you to build skills and plan the next stage of your job or career and helps both individuals and businesses to better prepare and adapt to changes in the economy. The Skills and Training Incentive provides up to $2200 (GST inclusive) to jointly fund training to help you build skills to remain in the workforce longer. Applications open.

Smart & Skilled (NSW) – Smart and Skilled is helping people in NSW get the skills they need to find a job and advance their careers. It provides eligible students with an entitlement to government-subsidised training up to and including certificate III and government funding for higher level courses (Certificate IV and above) in targeted priority areas. There are specific pre-approved courses that can be applied for. Applications open.

Small Business Fees & Charges Rebate (NSW) – If you are a sole trader, the owner of a small business or a not-for-profit organisation in NSW, you may be eligible for a small business fees and charges rebate of $1,500. This rebate helps businesses recover from the impacts of COVID-19 and encourages growth by reducing the cost of running a business. Eligible businesses or not-for-profits only need to apply for the rebate once, but can submit multiple claims until the full value of $1,500 is reached. Funds can be used to offset the costs of eligible NSW and local government fees and charges; including, food authority licences, liquor licences, tradesperson licences, event fees, outdoor seating fees, council rates. Women’s Return to Work Grant (ACT) – Individual grants of up to $1,000 are available for women who meet the eligibility criteria. The program is designed to provide funding for training and education, to develop job search skills and to access related resources to support women to return to work. Applications open.

Her Sport Her Way Grant Program (NSW) – The Her Sport Her Way Grant Program is a key initiative of the NSW Government’s Her Sport Her Way strategy. The Program aligns with the Office of Sport Strategic Plan and supports sports participation plans. It provides more than $2.5 million over four years to assist our NSW State Sporting Organisations to develop and deliver new initiatives to increase participation of women and girls in sport, on and off the field, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. Applications currently closed.

Women’s Board Leadership Program (Victoria) – The Office for Women Victoria is sponsoring 25 places for women to undertake an online Diploma of Governance. The scholarship covers 100% of the fee for this course. Applications currently closed.

Women’s Sport and Recreation Participation & Leadership Program (ACT) – Provides funding to eligible individuals, clubs and organisations in the ACT to support participation, education and training activities that enhance the availability of participation opportunities for women and girls in the ACT and the abilities for females to take on leadership roles in the sector. Women & Leadership Australia Scholarships (national) – Apply for a partial scholarship of $1000 – $5000 to enrol in these leadership courses targeting early career managers, mid-level managers and senior and executive leaders. Applications currently closed.

Cadbury Get in the Game Grants (national) – The $150k grants program is open for eight weeks and invites all grassroots girls’ sporting clubs and associations in Australia, to register for their opportunity to win a CADBURY Get in the Game Grant. Grant winners will receive up to $5k worth of funds to support the purchase and design of new female-friendly sporting attire, to navigate uniform barriers and ensure ongoing participation. Change Our Game Scholarship Grants (Victoria) – The Change Our Game Scholarship Grants Program provides funding to assist women to access professional learning and development opportunities to enhance skills in sport and recreation leadership and management. Offered through the Victorian Government’s Office for Women in Sport and Recreation (OWSR), the Program offers grants of up to $10,000 to individuals and organisations. Women Leaders in Sport (national) – Offered by Sport Australia, this program provides women throughout Australia with opportunities to undertake professional development courses and training which support their leadership journeys. Up to $10k is available for women, with tiered amounts for different stages of the leadership journey.  Applications currently closed.
